As an introduction, everyone's dæmons (names, forms and the significance thereof, as well as a few paragraphs to explain what dæmons are to those who aren't familiar with His Dark Materials) are listed here.  Note that fics are posted in order of internal chronology, not necessarily the order in which they were written.

Filed below is an early experiment with the idea of dæmons for House et al.: House and Wilson and their respective dæmons embark on a relationship, and begin working through the issues unearthed by the Tritter disaster.

Borrowing this one from phinnia : first ten people to comment get a House drabble by request, to the prompt of their choosing.  (My particular strengths are House/Wilson friendship or relationship, House/Chase friendship, father/son or mentorship, general canon characterizations, and wildly AU stuff involving supernatural elements.  So if you want dæmons, werewolves, vampires and that sort of thing, I'm able and amenable.  Anything outside that list, I'll give my best effort.)

Now, this is going to end up going one of two ways: either fewer than ten people actually follow this journal (which I suspect, as they usually ever just stop by from the comms) and I will get to have a cynical laugh.  Or up to ten people will respond, and I'll be pleasantly and extremely surprised.

Fifth, for Nibis: "...House and Wilson join forces to take someone (who clearly deserves it) down a peg or two.  Any universe that suits your fancy."  (This one ended up being a song rework, set within the canon universe, but it's about as long as any of the prose drabbles.  Lucas is the target of House and Wilson's revenge.  Incidentally, if anyone is interested in the other songs I've reworked, check here.)

Another trio of House song reworks--as ever, links are supplied to instrumental accompaniment for singing purposes.  Two are canon-based; the third is set within "An Art of Balance," the coming "Principles" sequel.  (Vague spoiler warning for that one, but no more than the sonnets.)

1: "Despite Pain" to the tune of "King of Pain" by The Police.  House suffers, but he doesn't let it stop him from living his life.

2: "Let's Talk Now of Diagnosis" to the tune of Gilbert and Sullivan's "Never Mind the Why and Wherefore" from H.M.S. Pinafore.  You could call this one 'DDX in song, 2.0.'  Featuring House, the original fellows and a satirical tone.

3: "Andromeda's Eyes" to the tune of "Lily's Eyes" from The Secret Garden.  (Hyperlink supplied is to an MP3 of the original song, with vocals: listen, as it is gorgeous.  Instrumental version for singing is linked under the cut.)  Again, this one belongs to the dæmonverse AAU--a duet by Chase's aunts as they consider him and the sister they lost.

The sequel to "Principles of Growth" is now tentatively titled "An Art of Balance," and has developed the majority of its plot (i.e., enough that I know more or less where it's going, but not so much that it can't surprise me in the middle).  I fully expect it to be as long as "Principles" and to demand as great a time commitment.

The sonnets that follow are under a cut, as they could be considered vaguely spoiler-ish—not enough to ruin the story for anyone, though.

( Thicker Than Water )

The Vague Large Thing has germinated and is growing a plot; it promises to be at least the length of its predecessor.  I've written the first draft of the prologue and am currently deep in R&D, which is wonderful as I have something of an obsessive love of research.  Some details have been ironed out as far as setting goes: those of you interested in the 'where' of most of the story are welcome to have a look here.

I'm putting the sonnet (Chase's PoV, by the way) under a cut, as interpreting it will give away one or two plot details.  Anyone who wants to comment with a guess is more than welcome to do so.

Andromeda's lullaby, a continuing thread in "Principles", now has a tune and complete lyrics.  The tune is that of Vienna Teng's "Shine" (listen to a YouTube video of the original piece here); I wrote my own lyrics to fit.
