Borrowing this one from [livejournal.com profile] phinnia : first ten people to comment get a House drabble by request, to the prompt of their choosing.  (My particular strengths are House/Wilson friendship or relationship, House/Chase friendship, father/son or mentorship, general canon characterizations, and wildly AU stuff involving supernatural elements.  So if you want dæmons, werewolves, vampires and that sort of thing, I'm able and amenable.  Anything outside that list, I'll give my best effort.)

Now, this is going to end up going one of two ways: either fewer than ten people actually follow this journal (which I suspect, as they usually ever just stop by from the comms) and I will get to have a cynical laugh.  Or up to ten people will respond, and I'll be pleasantly and extremely surprised.

Fourth, for [livejournal.com profile] pasdepixie: "House/Chase mentorship/friendship with subtle kindness by House, set after Cameron's departure."  (Let's say after "Ignorance is Bliss."  Oh, and I disclaim the phrase "Amber Volakis Memorial Apartment," which I first read in a Television Without Pity recap.)

Fifth, for Nibis: "...House and Wilson join forces to take someone (who clearly deserves it) down a peg or two.  Any universe that suits your fancy."  (This one ended up being a song rework, set within the canon universe, but it's about as long as any of the prose drabbles.  Lucas is the target of House and Wilson's revenge.  Incidentally, if anyone is interested in the other songs I've reworked, check here.)

I love [info]ruby_took's House/Wilson Werewolf Saga. This is a good thing, because I beta-read it. As with most things I love, however, I tend to generate an enormous amount of writing related to it.  I'll get all my companion-fics up someday; for now, here's the current compilation of sonnets and song reworks, organized by which of the Saga's stories they tie into.

Just so I have it in one place: the dæmons of the entire cast (all fellows now included) and the forms, names and symbolic meanings thereof.  Now under a cut, for aesthetics and in case anyone doesn't want to be spoiled.

All right, it's not the prequel you're all hoping for, but I'm willing to bet you'll be impressed anyway.

Why?

Because the sonnet redoublé is the most complicated sonnet sequence I've found.  It comprises fifteen sonnets, the first fourteen forming a corona (i.e., the last line of each sonnet is the same as the first line of the next, and the last line of the last sonnet is the same as the first line of the first, completing the circle) and the last is formed from the fourteen linking lines, in order.

This one is a kaleidoscopic (i.e., fragmented and not presented in any sequential order) look at "Principles of Growth", with sonnets from House's, Wilson's, Chase's and Andromeda's perspectives.

Here lies an abundance of iambic pentameter... )

I must confess, I have a weak spot for filks (i.e., song reworks).  Count up a few dozen syllables, map a rhyme scheme, and that catchy tune takes on a new life.  Here are a few House filks, à la various Broadway shows.  As with the musical a few entries down, I've linked to MIDI files so you can sing along.  Enjoy!

Feedback is, of course, immeasurably appreciated.
