Thank you! This is the first piece I've posted in a while, and it was a very satisfying one to write. (Tonight's episode has given me some hope for canon, though, so I may come out of strictly-AU territory in a few weeks and begin with post-eps again.)

That's the line that has to be walked with a scene like that: feeling, but never sentimentality. I'm glad to hear I was successful.
